Historic Grafton State Bank & Post Office
We recently completed the design and construction of our new office location in Grafton, WI. The architectural studio includes private/open offices for 24 people, two kitchenettes, three conference spaces and new restrooms.
Restoration work includes: new structural systems, comprehensive utility upgrades, masonry restoration, ADA/life-safety upgrades, new windows/doors, new roofing, foundation repairs and interior finishes.
Restoration & Adaptive Reuse
The project features a total remodel of a historic building complex, a combination of two 100-year old masonry buildings that once housed the village’s post office and state bank.
The building, originally slated for demolition, sat empty for 10 years prior to our acquisition. Through design, we blended a faithful historic restoration of the exterior with contemporary interiors meeting our office needs. The project highlights our commitment to sustainable design and adaptive reuse of structures/building materials.

Joshua Wadzinski, AIA, NCARB
Josh, with 23 years of experience, is a creative and skilled architect who encourages innovation, collaboration, and environmental responsibility within the design profession. As an experienced project architect in both commercial and residential architecture, Josh is proficient in design, project management, construction documents, bidding, construction administration, master planning and programming.
While earning a Masters & Bachelors Degree in Architecture from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, Josh’s educational experience revolved around design with supplemental studies in art & architectural history, theory, construction technology and urban planning. With a diverse educational background, his interests range from modern aesthetics to traditional, historical styles of architecture.
