This beautiful home was designed for a northern Wisconsin client with distinct and refined preferences. The rustic English countryside design (including natural Wisconsin limestone, parapet walls, slate roof, rough hewn cedar timbers/trim, brick nogging and divided lite windows) is complimented by refined gothic accents (sharp roof lines with zinc shingles, zinc gutters/downspouts/finials, stone quatrefoiles, leaded glass windows, interior timber trusses, interior gothic trim and cabinetry). The balance of styles reflects the northern Wisconsin surroundings and the clients personal interests.
The home's single story was disguised through the architectural massing. The design was intentionally adjusted to appear as two stories, enhancing the grandeur of the home and complimenting the neighboring 1920's homes.
Amenities included a covered drive, garden forecourt, outdoor living/grille area, service court, multiple fireplaces, library/study, master porch, and screen porch "tower rooms".
